How do i import Tropical Fish into the UK from the USA?
The fish are legally allowed to be imported (they arent on any banned list). But how do i actually go about the whole process?
I know i have to get a licence(but i dont know where from)
I know i need a health certificate (again - where from)
Would i take them to an airport? where would i pick them up from?
Any help would be appreciated. I'll be leaving from Houston Texas, and picking them up as close to South Wales as possible.
Sorry i forgot to mention - The fish are my own pets. Ive had them for 2+ years and dont want to part with them. I realise i could buy these fish in the Uk, but really want to keep my pets.
I understand the problem of not wanting to part with your pets, but would it be worth risking their health over it? I realise you really care for them to go through so much trouble to check into the matter, so effort and money are prob not an issue but the stress on your fish could very well kill them or send them into shock, I don't know whether you thought about that aspect or not. I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question but just wanted to make sure you know the risks as well.
