Are lacrosse balls safe toys for puppies?
I have a year old black lab who loves to chew and fetch. When she kept on popping and tearing tennis balls I gave her a lacrosse ball, but I don't know whether it is safe or not? She loves to catch them in midair and such and I don't know whether it can damage her teeth. Please help! She loves lacrosse balls but I don't want to give them to her if it hurts her!
She is safe as long as she doesn't swallow them whole.. I have the same problem with my two Heelers. I was going through a dozen tennis balls a month. I now toss lacrosse balls along with tennis balls. (lacrosse balls sink, as my dogs and i found out...)
a dogs teeth are rooted much deeper in their mouth then human teeth. keep the gums and teeth healthy with heard dry dog food, water, and milk bones and you shouldnt have any problems.
